As a small business you need to be concern with what are referred to as “buyer keywords” and not “do it yourself keywords”.
Let’s look at an example small business, Plumbing.
If a user enters in the search engine “fix toilet leak”, they are clearly looking for answers on how to fix it themselves.
However, if a user searches for “emergency plumbing repair” they are clearly a “buyer”.
The user is looking for someone, you, to fix their problem.
Buyer keywords are the words that you, as a local business owner want to be ranked in Google, Yahoo and/or Bing.
When looking at an SEO company remember to keep in mind “buyer” vs “do it yourself”.
